[Ruins] Angkor Thom

📍 Cambodia, Siem Reap Angkor Thom The ruins of the ancient Cambodian Kingdom (also known as the Angkor Dynasty. 9th century to 1432) are located in the northwest of Cambodia, near the city of Siem Reap. The Angkor ruins, including this ruin, were registered as a World Heritage Site in 1992 (World Heritage Site). Angkor Thom means "big town" in Khmer. The most representative is "Bayon" located in the center. It was originally a Mahayana Buddhist temple, but was later converted to Hinduism, and has the appearance of a mixed temple. The human faces carved on the four sides of the tower are called "Khmer Smiles" and are a major attraction. The combination of wood and ruins is really nice. #Cambodia #Siem Reap #Angkor Thom
