Locals are friendly and there’s this peaceful mountain-town energy that makes you want to slow down and breathe it all in. The views are pretty stunning too, especially when the clouds hang low over the hills. It’s not huge, so you won’t get lost, but there’s enough to keep you interested for an afternoon. Bonus: it’s a nice change of pace from big cities like Chengdu. Totally worth a visit if you’re nearby or passing through on the way to Jiuzhaigou. Bring comfy shoes and no tight schedule.
