#Thailandtrip
This time, we will introduce Erawan Falls, which you should visit at least once in your life! It takes about 4 hours by bus from Bangkok, Thailand, but there are many day trips and it is possible to go there in one day🙆♀️
My recommendation is to stay in Kanchanaburi, the town you stop over in, as it is very nice😉Now, I will explain how to get there🙌

📍Erawan National Park
Erawan Falls🚖Location: Thailand🇹🇭Kanchanaburi💰Entrance fee: 300 baht (1,280 yen)⏳Time required: 3 hours
📝Honest review P O I N T ✔︎
・For those who are sensitive to heat, a day tour is recommended.・Photos look better than with the naked eye.・It's okay if you can't swim.・Trekking in a swimsuit is a great way to feel free.・Life jackets must be worn.
Erawan Falls is located in Erawan National Park🏞, and the entrance fee is 300 baht🙆♀️
If you want to enter the waterfall, be sure to rent a life jacket for about 30 baht!
There are lifeguards, so you will be instructed and told that you cannot enter if you do not wear one!
[Erawan Falls⛲️]
Erawan Falls is 1500m long, and from the entrance to the back of the park, there are 7 tiers of waterfalls with gradually changing heights.
The road from waterfall 1 near the entrance to waterfall 3 is paved and easy to walk on, and many of the waterfalls have wide views, so if you have children or are not confident in your physical strength, you may want to just enjoy this one🙆♀️
After waterfall 3, it feels like a hiking course on Mount Takao in Japan, so young people can easily climb it! The best places to get into the pool are around 3-5! The photo I posted is also from 3-5🥺

Clothing and belongings🎽
The thing to be careful of at Erawan Waterfall is your shoes. I went in flip-flops🩴, but the pool was so deep that the moment I put my feet in, I couldn't get them out and fell over🙃
There are many Thai foreigners who go barefoot, but Japanese people can't do that🤗So I recommend sandals🦶 or water shoes👟 with heels, because you can go trekking and get into the water.
I gave up on flip-flops early on and trekked in sneakers while still wet🙃
As for clothing, I wore a swimsuit and a life jacket, and went trekking in those clothes, even going into the pool!
Most tourists are like that, so don't be embarrassed. 🙆♀️ I'm a little glad that even in a bikini, the life jacket covers your stomach. 😆 However, the bugs in Thailand are pretty strong, so if you expose that much skin, it's a good food source for mosquitoes and other bugs. 😭 So I recommend buying local bug repellent. 🙆♀️ The repellent in the 10th photo is sold at almost every convenience store and pharmacy in Thailand, and it smells nice. 🤗 They also sell smaller ones that are about twice as big, so it's easy to use! The one in the photo is 70 baht (300 yen). I think you should only bring a towel and water. There are paid cloakrooms near waterfalls 1 and 2 for large luggage, so if you have a lot of money or other luggage that you don't need for a day trip, please leave it there. However, I read somewhere that if you don't put the water in a bag and it's visible, you'll be charged a deposit, but if you put it in your bag, it's fine 🙆♀️
Once you get to waterfall 1, they don't sell food or water, so if you want some, you can buy it at the entrance to Erawan National Park 🙆♀️There are also a few restaurants near the entrance!

🐠Doctor fish and waterfalls
The specialty of Erawan Waterfalls
There are natural doctor fish 🙆♀️8th photo! This is ticklish 🤗
Even foreigners were screaming lol lol lol
I read somewhere that there are a lot of them at waterfall 3,
but there are quite a few at waterfalls 4 and 57,
so you can go in wherever you want!
The water is very clear, but waterfalls 3-5 are deep and the footing is muddy, so it's scary to go in😭
And it's even more scary because the doctor fish prick you!
It's an experience you can't have in Japan, so it's worth doing at least once in your life🤗
At waterfall 5 there's a natural water slide!
It's really fun.
If you slip from a slightly dangerous place, you will get hurt,
but my boyfriend who went with me got injured and had abrasions that couldn't be covered with a normal bandage 🙃 so it's a good idea to bring some bandages with you~

🚌How to get there Bangkok → Kanchanaburi (train) 3 hours 100 baht (420 yen)
Kanchanaburi → Erawan Falls (local bus) 1.5 hours 50 baht (210 yen)
This way is very Thai, but if you don't like the heat, please avoid it🙇♀️
Neither the train nor the local bus on this route has air conditioning, so I thought I would get heatstroke on the local bus🙃 but I'm pretty good with the heat😵!
The reason why I recommend this route for people like you is that
This train was built by the people of this area during the war,
and it is also called the Death Railway,
which was built at the expense of many casualties.
This is a place where you can experience what our ancestors did. The train only runs twice a day, so it's not very convenient in that respect. However, it's fun to see them selling things like juice and fried chicken on the train, and all the train windows are fully open, so it's very fun to see the idyllic cityscape of Thailand in a real world view from a train window. Next, this local bus (11th and 12th photos) runs quite often from Kanchanaburi bus terminal to Erawan Falls at 8:00, 9:00, 10:00, 11:15, 13:00, and 15:00. I'll also post the return timetable (as of April 2024) From Erawan Falls to Kanchanaburi bus terminal 5:20, 6:10, 8:30, 10:00, 12:00, 14:00, 15:00, and 16:30. You can also go home early in the morning! There are also places where you can camp,
so it's suitable for people who go home early in the morning🙆♀️
I hated riding this🙃It's hot! The door is wide open and scary🙆♀️But I wanted to go this way because I felt like I was getting closer to the Thai way of life!
[Direction 2] Bangkok → Kanchanaburi Bus (with air conditioning) 150 baht (640 yen)
Kanchanaburi → Erawan Falls (local bus) 50 baht (210 yen)
I highly recommend the train,
but there are only two trains a day😭
We overslept to catch the train that morning and went this way🥺Air-conditioned buses are good🥺
There are two bus terminals from Bangkok to Kanchanaburi, so choose the one that's easier to get to!
We used the minor Bangkok Northern Bus Terminal! From here, we went to Kanchanaburi in a van that can carry about 12 people, more like a bus than a bus.
[Directions 3]
Book a day tour. This is the most expensive option, but it's comfortable and saves time, so it's fine. 🙋♂️

🏞Stay in Kanchanaburi
If you're planning to go to Erawan Falls and are staying in Kanchanaburi, I highly recommend this hotel. 🥺🥺🥺↓V1 Boutique Hotel Kanchanaburi
We stayed longer because it was so good! It's just opened and clean, and it's conveniently located just a 3-minute walk from the Kanchanaburi bus terminal!
There are many food stalls near the bus terminal, so you won't have any trouble finding dinner, and it's cheaper than Bangkok, the portions are large, and the taste is great. 🥺So I recommend staying at this hotel!
If you don't want to take a local bus from Kanchanaburi to Erawan Falls, you can use this hotel and ask for a transfer to Kanchanaburi for a fee🙆♀️
