[Enjoy it even on a day trip] Hidden spots where you can truly enjoy Shodoshima

This summer, I went on my first trip to Shodoshima and discovered many hidden shops that are unique to Shodoshima. Here are four of my favorites! 1️⃣Nature & Stunning Views Shodoshima is a great spot to enjoy the calm sea of ​​the Setouchi Inland Sea. The beautiful sea and green mountains are overflowing, and the nature that you can't usually touch is soothing to the soul. 2️⃣Art in the City As it is also known as the stage for the Setouchi Triennale, one of the charms of Shodoshima is that art is hidden all over the city. I also found some unusual art, such as egg and olive pompadours😆 3️⃣A cute Dutch cafe🇳🇱 "Dutch Café Cupid & Cotton" is a cafe where you can enjoy authentic Dutch cuisine. The specialty is the Dutch dish pannekoek. The inside of the windmill-like building has a warm and homely atmosphere. Apparently, the building was built by a Dutchman who fell in love with Shodoshima! I had a Pannekoek lunch, which was more voluminous than I expected, and the dough was chewy. It was slightly sweet and matched well with the mushrooms and basil, and it was very delicious! You can see the sea from the window, and it is a cozy and lovely cafe. 4️⃣ Exquisite gelato on the island "Saint-Cancion" is a wonderful gelateria run by a married couple. There are various seasonal flavors available, and I chose mango & passion fruit and strawberry milk. Both turned out to be great choices! The strawberry milk in particular was full of strawberry flavor and was the best. The goods sold in the store were also cute. I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Shodoshima even in one day.
