Luojia Temple, the Sea-Sky Buddhist Kingdom

Luojia Temple is a unique seaside temple located on Gongyu Island on the east side of Golden Coast, Binhai East Road, Shishi City, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province. It is known as the "Sea-Sky Buddhist Kingdom." Luojia Temple is built on the reefs of Gongyu Island, with Baogai Mountain as its backdrop and facing the Taiwan Strait. It is surrounded by the sea and connected to the land only by a "Golden Bridge." During high tide, the temple seems to float on the sea, while during low tide, the beach is exposed and connected to the land, forming a unique landscape of "a temple emerging from the sea, and watching the sea from the temple." Standing at the high point of the temple and looking out, the sparkling sea and the blue sky and white clouds complement each other, creating a beautiful picture. When night falls, the night view of Luojia Temple is even more breathtaking. The moonlight shines on the eaves and window lattices of the temple, creating a peaceful and serene scene. These locations offer stunning views of the sea and the entire Luojia Temple, making it a paradise for photography enthusiasts. 3. Experience high and low tides: Luojia Temple is located on an island, surrounded by seawater during high tide and connected to the land during low tide. Visitors can experience the different landscapes brought about by the high and low tides, but be sure to pay attention to safety, especially after the low tide when many reefs are exposed. Many people will walk over to play, but some of the reefs may look dark but are actually very slippery. If your shoes do not have enough grip, you are likely to fall and get injured. If you slip off the reefs near the sea, you will fall into the ocean. 4. As it is far from the city center, it is recommended to drive to Luojia Temple. There is a parking lot in front of the temple that costs CNY 10, and there is a temporary toilet built with a prefab.
