[Mie] Head to Ago Bay, one of Japan's leading ria coasts, and the birthplace of pearls

Kashikojima Station in Shima City, located in central Mie Prefecture, can be reached directly from Osaka, Nagoya, and Kyoto by express train. The station has a memorial hall for the Ise-Shima Summit held in 2016, where you can view the exhibits for free. The area has a deep, indented ria coast with gentle waves, and pearl farming is a thriving industry. It is also a resort area in the Kinki and Chukyo regions, with many resort hotels located there. There are two cruise ship companies in Ago Bay. This time, we took the Ago Bay Island Tour on a small boat, which allows us to see places that larger ships cannot reach.
