So close, so beautiful, head to Hebei for the weekend? I must be out of touch with the trends, it took me three minutes to decide to leave, dressed in recommended Hanfu, Cheongsam, and retro black, white, and red. It's definitely the little Jiangnan of the north, not very big, but the charm is enough for the northern people to appreciate (part of it is like the Qinhuai River, and part of it has the feel of the small buildings from the 'Chinese Paladin' with the character Zi Xuan); following the program schedule, listening to the 'Guardian of Flowers', watching the retro song and dance performances, stepping into the Republican-era movie scenes, there are also big balloons, bubble interactive scenes, it's quite captivating among the many ancient towns; acrobatics and magic shows... Well, it's worth a look, follow the program schedule to get a seat early; the food, it's similar across the country, prices are totally touristy (smoked meat pancakes are 18 a portion, very tasty, worth a try). There are surrounding attractions like wetland parks, Baodu Village, botanical gardens, etc., for those interested to wander around.
