A rare resort in the suburbs of Chengdu: Shifang Banshan Yinlu

Shifang Banshan Commune Hotel 🏨Banshan Yinlu Hotel is located in Shifang City, Sichuan Province, on the northwest edge of the Chengdu Plain, about 60 km from Chengdu. 🏨The hotel is located halfway up the mountain with beautiful mountain views. The hotel is not very big, so we missed it even with the navigation. After walking a short distance on the wooden path, we arrived at the hotel lobby. The nostalgic old projector, the fireplace for warmth in winter, the rustic and elegant decor, and the warm smile of the receptionist marked the beginning of our stay. 😊Following the waitress through the lush trees in the mountains, we felt as if we were in a primeval forest, with fresh air, flocks of birds, and blooming flowers along the winding stone path. 🏨The hotel is larger than expected, consisting of different villas, where the steel and glass architecture blends perfectly with nature. 📍We stayed in the main building of the hotel, where the room had a wide view and a public terrace with a view of most of the hotel. Each room has a set of tables and chairs at the door for guests to enjoy the mountain view outside. The room is made of wood and has a panoramic skylight, which is perfect for stargazing in summer. 🫰My favorite part is the large floor-to-ceiling windows and the very comfortable tatami tea table. Sitting by the large floor-to-ceiling windows, making a pot of ginger flower dancong tea, quietly looking at the mountain view, smelling the coolness in the air, and enjoying the tranquility of the night in the mountains. ❤️Our room was on the lowest floor of the main building. Up the stairs next to the room, there is a great outdoor pool and some rooms. ❤️On the next floor is a library, a place to copy scriptures, and a tea room, which is also a great place to check in. The top floor has a library, a small bar, a restaurant, and a great view of the hotel. ❤️On the mountainside, you can see the mountains, the water, drink tea, listen to the rain, and live a peaceful life. Walking on the mountainside, you can enjoy different views in different seasons.
