Nantou Ancient City is the origin of Shenzhen city and a valuable relic of ancient Lingnan culture. It is now a key cultural relic protection unit in Guangdong Province. Nantou Ancient Town is an irregular rectangle, backed by mountains and facing the sea. It has nine streets, which are called "Nine Streets" by local folks. The road network here is perfectly integrated with the natural terrain, and is full of the rich historical atmosphere of the ancient city.
