Suzhou to Shengsi 2 Days 1 Night Travel Guide Details

Shengsi Archipelago is a highly recommended island in the Suzhou-Shanghai area, with convenient transportation and beautiful scenery🌊 🚢Ways to get to the island: 1. Self-driving → Shenjiawan Wharf (you can purchase the Shengsi all-area ferry ticket on the Princess Ship [Tour Shengsi], and travel vouchers can also be claimed on the platform) → Shengsi Sijiao 2. Take Suzhou Metro Line 2 to Suzhou Railway Station → Suqi Bus to Shenjiawan Wharf (search "Suqi Direct Bus" to buy tickets) → Shengsi Sijiao The bus costs 158 RMB, and the ferry ticket at Shenjiawan Wharf is about 100-120 RMB, tickets need to be purchased in advance by searching "Shengsi Passenger Transport". If driving, cars can board the ferry but tickets must be purchased; alternatively, you can park your car at the wharf parking lot. 🛵Getting around the island: Taxis are generally expensive, we paid 30 RMB for 4 kilometers, and we didn’t want to talk haha. There are basically no ride-hailing cars, and bus frequency is low, so it is recommended to rent a small electric scooter, about 100 RMB per day. We rented one next to the hotel for 150 RMB for 24 hours. It takes about two hours to circle the island. ⭐Recommended itinerary: ✅Day 1: Left Bank Road → Diaodian Coffee → Jihu Beach → East Sea Fishing Village (lots of seafood) ✅Day 2: Liujingtan + Heshangtao → Huangshao’ao, Bianjiao’ao Day 1: 🛣️Left Bank Road: Ride the electric scooter along the coast, the sea breeze is gentle. There is a viewing platform where you can see the entire island. ☕Diaodian Coffee: Vintage decor, popular with young people. You can rest inside if it’s hot. 🏖️Jihu Beach: Entrance fee 60 RMB, the sea is very blue on good weather days, perfect for photos. There are also some free beaches. 🐟East Sea Fishing Village: A seafood street with many seafood stalls. We went to Shanban Seafood; it was crowded in the evening, the seafood tasted good, portions were generous and fresh. Day 2: 🌅Liujingtan + Heshangtao: Combined ticket 90 RMB, both scenic spots are large, hiking takes about an hour. If you get up early, you can watch the sunrise. There are cliff faces, a white lighthouse, a pink maze, and a sky city photo spot, highly recommended. ⭐Huangshao’ao, Bianjiao’ao: Both are free beaches, good for photos, fewer people, easy to get great shots. 🍱Recommended dishes: Salt and pepper shrimp, seafood platter, steamed mitten crab, crab fried rice cakes, seafood noodles… 🏨Accommodation on the island: It is recommended to stay near the scenic spots, as these photo spots are mostly concentrated around there, making travel convenient. Hotels and guesthouses are both available. Be sure to book in advance for much cheaper prices.
