Ancient charm at #Zhongxie Ancient Village#

I visited on the afternoon of May 5, 2025. It was a scenic spot on the way back to Shanghai from a trip to Shengzhou during the May Day holiday. My husband said that the highway was congested, so we took the national highway and other small roads. We happened to drive to Zhongxie Ancient Village [Victory]. The two buses in the parking lot turned out to be for many students who were here to sketch and paint. The nearby rice fields, canals, waterwheels, and the distant blue sky, white clouds, and mountains made for a very nice view. There are many old houses with a long history in the ancient village, and the ground is also paved with cobblestone roads, giving it a strong ancient charm [Cute]. Zhongxie Ancient Village has many ancient buildings, including the Yongxing Ancestral Hall, which was built in 793 AD, the 9th year of the Zhenyuan period of the Tang Dynasty. It is a branch of the Huiji Mountain South Town Temple, and its status is equivalent to that of the South Town Temple. There is also the Yu Ancestral Hall, which was built in 1760 AD, the Gengchen year of the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. The ancient opera stage is famous throughout the country. After taking a tour, the architectural structure and appearance of the Yu Ancestral Hall are still relatively well preserved [ThumbsUp]. Zhongxie Ancient Village has a beautiful original ecological landscape. In front of the village, there is a vast ancient field, which is an ideal place to experience the ancient village's farming culture. Next to the ancient field is the North Stream, the upper reaches of the Xiaoshun River, which is a good place for water rafting, clear water fishing, and natural bathing. The Dalong Mountain in the north of the village and the large mountains and forests in the south of the village hide the ancient trails of Daxiaoling and Mapi Ridge, which are dotted with many scenic spots such as Kongshan Lishi, Shisigang Waterfall, Xiling Cold Spring, Laoshuyan Dang, Gaoshan Reservoir, and Maoping Bamboo Sea. It is a venue for deep mountain ancient trail tours for sightseeing and leisure, mountain climbing and exercise, and letting go of your heart [Yeah].
