Impressive architecture along the Bund in Shanghai

The Bund is a waterfront area and a protected historical district in central Shanghai. From the 1860s to the 1930s, it was the rich and powerful center of the foreign establishment in Shanghai, operating as a legally protected treaty port. From that period of time we have left dozens of historic buildings... indeed walking around the area feels like being in some Western cities! I could spend hours walking the alleys and admire those old, beautifully designed facades and read about their history (the heritage buildings are signaled with a plaque) Definitely recommended for architecture lovers! #shanghai #thebund #historicbuilding
