A postman, a policeman, a boss, and an actor—these unrelated people meet by chance in a photo studio called Lucky Photo Studio because of the war. Each character has a distinct personality and vivid appearance, with their own experiences. As the film progresses, their humanity changes along with the development of the war. From initial rejection and suspicion to ultimately acting for themselves, others, and China. From basic survival to national awakening, from the confusion of surviving by developing photos for the Japanese army to the determination to spread photos of Japanese atrocities even at the risk of their lives. Inside and outside the photo studio are two worlds; these brutal photos of the Japanese army later become ironclad evidence for prosecuting them. The film’s theme is excellent, starting from the perspective of ordinary people, making it more relatable. There are many highlights in the film. The actors have known patriotism since childhood, singing and performing patriotic songs and movies; the protagonist, as a postman, is familiar with every corner of his home—Nanjing; Old Jin opens the photo studio backdrop and leads everyone to travel thousands of miles a day. The feeling of patriotism surges in the heart, emotions roll, and the beautiful rivers and mountains are defended without giving up an inch!
