On the bluestone door frame at the entrance, the words "Jing Ting" are vigorous and powerful. The moment you push the door open, you seem to travel through a time tunnel. The traditional wooden beam structure of the guest rooms is completely preserved. The Italian imported bedding complements the local hand-woven cloth, and the contemporary German bathroom coexists harmoniously with the old elm wood washstand. The details show ingenuity: the purple clay teapot on the bedside is produced in Yixing, the bathroom amenities are selected from the Shanghai Bund brand of Chinese fragrance, and the mini bar is filled with Zhujiajiao specialties such as Zha pork and glutinous rice cakes. Breakfast includes shepherd's purse wontons with freshly ground soy milk, cold shepherd's purse with shepherd's purse, mung bean and lily porridge, and crab roe soup dumplings. For dinner, steamed whitebait with eggs and clear water river shrimp are recommended, served in blue and white porcelain, and enjoyed in a riverside private room, which has a special flavor. The library has a large collection of valuable books on Jiangnan architecture and folk customs; the small museum displays fragments of Ming and Qing porcelain unearthed here; and you can book a professional photographer to take retro portraits in the ancient house wearing a cheongsam or a long shirt. Stepping out of the well pavilion homestay, you are in Caohe Street, the best-preserved area of Zhujiajiao. Unlike the crowds in the main scenic area of the ancient town, the stone road here is quiet and winding, and on both sides are the real-life scenes of the natives.
