Gubei Civic Park

Located in Changning District, Shanghai, Gubei Civic Park was originally two public green spaces along Fugui East Road, built in 2006 and funded and maintained by the Gubei Group. The park is cleverly divided into two sections by the Gubei Civic Center along Fugui East Road, with each side showcasing its unique charm. The park features several large lawns, providing ample space for leisure activities. One side blends democracy and art, housing the Shanghai CPPCC Whole-process People's Democracy Practice Site, with its roof ingeniously transformed into a grassy performance stage, frequently hosting various cultural and artistic events. The other side focuses on integrating party-mass services with resident recreation, featuring the Gubei Better Life Party-Mass Service Station, offering convenient service windows for party members and the public, while creating a warm space for neighborhood interaction. Designed with an "open, inclusive, and vibrant" theme, the park aims to be a shared urban space for people of all ethnicities and ages. By connecting internal greenways with the Huangjincheng Road slow traffic system, it forms a "Golden Vitality Circle," stimulating community vitality. The park's main feature is its large lawns, complemented by Yoshino cherry trees, creating a comfortable and open space.
