Shanghai Plum and Cherry Blossom Spots

#chinatrip Shanghai offers several beautiful spots to view plum and cherry blossoms, typically in late February to early April. Here are some popular places I visited around the city area or not too far from the city centre: 1.Shanghai Botanical Garden in Xuhui distrit, Known for its extensive plum garden, featuring various plum blossom varieties. Big and huge garden to explore with beautiful ponds and lake, its worth destination to visit 2.Jing'an Sculpture Park is a unique and artistic urban park in Shanghai that also offers opportunities to enjoy seasonal flowers, including cherry blossoms. While it's primarily known for its modern sculptures, the park has a Cherry Blossom Avenue: a pathway lined with cherry trees that bloom beautifully in late March to early April, making it a great spot for a relaxed stroll during spring without venturing too far from the city center! 🌸 3. Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai's Pudong District, This area is more famous for its iconic skyline and modern architecture, but there are still some lovely places to experience the beauty of spring blossoms. Visitors can enjoy views of the Oriental Pearl Tower and strolling under the blossoms. 4.Shanghai World Financial Center (SWFC) Plaza ;The area around the Shanghai World Financial Center (the "Bottle Opener" building) has some green spaces and ornamental trees, including cherry blossoms, while not a large display, it’s a convenient spot to enjoy blossoms if you’re in the area for business or sightseeing. . #shanghai #spring #cherrybloosom

Modern Marvels & Timeless Views in Shanghai 🚶♂️🏙️ Get ready for an urban adventure through Shanghai’s must-see icons, blending sleek skyscrapers, buzzing cultural spots, and riverside romance—all in one unforgettable stroll! Start with Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, the liveliest shopping boulevard in China (Henan Middle Road, Huangpu District, open all day). Dive into laidback morning walks or prime evening people-watching. Pro tip: Early arrival means fewer crowds and soft sunlight for your shots. Don’t miss snaps featuring modern storefronts framed by heritage buildings—super insta-worthy on a sunny day! Next, head to The Bund (Zhongshan East Road, right by the Huangpu River—open all day), Shanghai’s dreamy riverside promenade lined with colonial architecture and shimmering city skylines. For that epic photo, pose with the futuristic Pudong skyline behind you, especially as day turns to neon-lit night. Take a moment to soak up both the city buzz and gentle river breeze—my personal highlight! Finish by hopping onto the Jinling East Road Ferry (No.141 Bund, open 7:00 AM–9:00 PM) for a unique, budget-friendly way to cross the river. The Ferry offers front-row city views, especially on cloudy or rainy days—the contrast with gleaming glass towers is unreal. Pack a light raincoat just in case, as weather shifts quickly. Quick Tips: Wear comfy shoes, as you’ll be on your feet all day. Plan to visit in the early morning or late evening for magical light and fewer crowds. Always keep an eye out for changing weather! #Shanghai #UrbanAdventure #ModernArchitecture #TheBund #CityViews
