Shanghai Breakfast – Xiaolongbao, Shengjian, and Scallion Oil Noodles

#favouriteitinerary This time in Shanghai, I finally got to try Xiaolongbao (soup dumplings)! I ordered the crab roe Xiaolongbao, which is unique to Shanghai. The fried pork chop was just average. We went to Lai Lai Xiaolong in Jing’an District. On another day, we tried Shanghai’s traditional Shengjianbao (pan-fried soup buns) at Da Hu Chun, and on the last day, we had breakfast at Xiao Yang Shengjian, which was incredibly juicy! We also had Shanghai’s famous Scallion Oil Noodles, which came with a free extra serving of noodles. But for us girls, one bowl was already more than enough! I chose their signature and famous Clam & Pork Liver Noodles. Even though I usually don’t eat pork liver, I found it quite enjoyable—delicious! 😋 China is truly a food paradise. 😍😍😍
