For those traveling to Shanghai, I recommend visiting Huaihai Road and Xintiandi in addition to Nanjing Road and the Bund. It's very convenient to get around Shanghai by subway, so just choose a hotel near a subway station. Today, I recommend Andaz Xintiandi Shanghai. The hotel is only a 6-minute walk from Site of the First CPC National Congress·Huangpi South Road Station on Line 14. There are shopping malls like K11 and Hong Kong Plaza nearby, so it's very convenient for shopping and dining. Andaz is a luxury brand under Hyatt. You can see some very stylish decorations and paintings in the lobby and corridors. Standing in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows in the room, you can see the bustling traffic. The curtains and lights in the room are controlled by a pad. I watched TV shows on the pad and drank free drinks from the mini bar. It was so relaxing. I love the hotel's second-floor restaurant, which brings nature indoors, like the Wizard of Oz. In addition to cold dishes, hot dishes, and desserts, there are also freshly grilled prawns and steamed seafood. The steamed handmade rice cakes are also delicious, dipped in osmanthus sauce or sugar. There are also many breakfast options, including traditional Shanghai snacks like rice cakes, egg pancakes, and Qiang pancakes. For lunch, I went to the lobby bar on the first floor and ordered steak, cod, grilled black tiger prawn and avocado salad, and cream of mushroom soup. They were all delicious.
