🏨Location The hotel is located near People's Square, opposite the Shanghai Art Museum, and 100 meters away from the Shanghai Grand Theater. As a local in Shanghai, I have seen it since it was built in 2002. After more than 20 years, I finally had the chance to stay here. Hotel Lobby The lobby is on the 38th floor. The ceiling is quite low, which is understandable since the hotel was built in 2002. The layout is a bit outdated. But I have to say that the view of Puxi from the floor-to-ceiling windows in the lobby is one of the best. You can see People's Park, Nanjing East Road, Xingye Taikoo Hui, Nanxi Henglong, and the three iconic buildings in Pudong. Executive Lounge I want to share my experience at the executive lounge on the 59th floor. The food and drinks are really rich. In addition to the regular self-service cocktail area, there are red and white wines and sparkling wines. There are Chinese, Japanese, and Western hot dishes. The pastries are generous, with at least three whole cakes and other small desserts. I originally planned to have a drink and then go out for dinner, but I ended up canceling my plan. The entrance to the executive lounge is unforgettable. The decoration inside the executive lounge is average, and the view is the same as that of the coffee shop on the 38th floor. In addition to the seats by the window, there is a small private room, but the space between the tables is a bit narrow. The staff inside are very friendly and proactive. Room As a Platinum member, I was upgraded to a higher room type. The room is on the 59th floor. There is no electronic cleaning or do not disturb display outside the door. The doorbell is separate, and I suggest that these need to be upgraded. The room is quite large. The feature of the room may be the separate TV cabinet, which separates the sofa area and the bedroom. The TV can be rotated 360 degrees.
