Zhujiajiao Ancient Town — A Peaceful Haven Away from the City's Hustle and Bustle

In January this year, I embarked on a journey to Zhujiajiao Ancient Town. Located in the suburbs of Shanghai, this water town left a deep impression on me with its unique architectural style and rich culinary culture. Especially the bridges and waterways of the ancient town, which reflect each other, with the breeze rippling the water surface, enveloping the entire town in tranquility and harmony. Among them, the Fangsheng Bridge is one of the iconic buildings of the ancient town. The bridge stands tall, and standing on it, overlooking the entire town, it feels as if the whole world has slowed down. This serene beauty makes you want to stop and savor this rare peace. In Zhujiajiao, besides the beautiful scenery, the food is also an experience not to be missed. Especially the local live eels, which are mouth-watering. In the restaurants, the fresh eels are meticulously cooked, with tender and juicy meat, and the taste is incredibly flavorful. Especially the freshly grilled eels, with a slightly crispy exterior and tender interior, each bite is filled with rich flavors, as if the taste of the Jiangnan water town has been infused into it. In addition, other snacks in the ancient town are also very distinctive.
