Shanghai citywalk

Bustling through the May Day holiday, although I had prepared a mental script anticipating the crowds, but... this. this. this is just too crowded! 🤯 Everyone knows what I mean! After all, we all celebrate May Day, so there's no guide today, as I barely managed to snap a few photos while surviving in the cracks (boyfriend cameo today 🙃). I'll briefly mention the photo spots and then talk about some pitfalls to avoid later, but for now, I'm just going to lie down and rest. Picture 2⃣️3⃣️: 📍Near the traffic light next to the Postal Savings Bank by the Shanghai Postal Museum (The Postal Museum is closed for renovation and won't reopen until October, please be aware not to make a wasted trip ⚠️). The overall scene is very photogenic, with a European vibe. Picture 6⃣️: 📍Side of the Postal Museum, Greek style - very grand. Picture 7⃣️: 📍Next to the North Bund International Passenger Terminal, the 'little giant egg' where you queue for half an hour for a one-minute photo. Personally, I find it average (maybe I prefer more open and grand scenes) but sisters who know how to take photos can still give it a try. 📍The other pictures are of some pretty buildings. As for why they're all buildings... I didn't get any good photos with the scenic spots because I could only capture the back of people's heads in front 😓. If you're interested in the buildings, you can ask me for the exact locations. (After all, it's not always as crowded as on May Day, and it should usually be easy to take good photos.) 📍Oh, and the last photo was taken on the Bund, surrounded by tens of thousands of people, by extending my selfie stick to 1.5 meters long, so please don't mind and just enjoy it. 🌼Now for the important part, I hope every pitfall I encountered today will pave the way for a smooth journey for you tomorrow. 1⃣️: Don't just look at the map and walk hundreds of meters, take my advice and ride a bike if you can. Shanghai's Citywalk will punish anyone who is stubborn because you have to walk quite a distance to and from the subway stations, which will make your waist and legs sore... (I walked a total of thirteen kilometers today and am about to lie down 😱). 2⃣️: The 18-degree sun in Shanghai 🌞 is also like fire, so spray on the sunscreen generously. My boyfriend wore a tank top today and turned into a spicy crayfish by the end of the day, with a red face and a thick neck. 3⃣️: Honestly, if you can avoid the Bund's night view during the holidays... just stay away and look from a distance. The crowd is overwhelming, and unless you're 2 meters tall, you'll feel suffocated and won't even think about taking beautiful night photos. 🥳Alright, that's all for today. I'll be back with more regular photo-taking guides and fun things to do in Shanghai on weekdays. To be honest, I'm so tired today that I can't even remember what I ate for my two meals... Holidays are truly terrifying ao

If you ever find yourself at the bund with an hour to spare, definitely check out the Shanghai Postal Museum! The museum is free and open to the public. it covered the evolution of postal services from the late Qing Dynasty to the republic days and then modern day China. I liked learning about how Shanghai’s colonial history affected the development of the postal services known to us today. Visit during golden hour to get some nice golden hour photos. #awesomepic#nyedestinations
