Pool Society

Pool Society, as an art collective established in 1986 by Zhang Peili, Geng Jianyi, and others, has seen its space reborn in the West Bund Cultural and Art Demonstration Zone, representing a realist attitude: on the basis of dilapidated old buildings, it fulfills spatial demands, coordinates the overall environment, and at the same time realizes a form of expression that matches the artistic mission it carries. The architecture hopes to provide a refined yet rich composite art space, layering multiple artistic activities such as exhibition collection, creative discussion, and restful interaction within a compact structure.
