JW Marriott Hotel designed by Gensler The 265-room hotel is located on an artificial island in Jinhai Lake. Gensler's design team made full use of the lake landscape and the surrounding forest park, old town full of retro atmosphere and other cultural resources, aiming to create a hotel building that continues the local context, is loyal to the user experience, and leads the future design trends. The overall shape of the hotel is an organic combination of two winding curves on the top and three geometric bodies on the bottom. It not only avoids the design limitations brought by the narrow and long plot, but also creates a soft and dynamic architectural shape. While harmoniously integrating into the surrounding natural environment, the visual impact of the building also makes it a landmark building in the entire area. The architectural design abandons the double-corridor guest room design mode of traditional hotels, breaks the single narrow and long building volume, and replaces it with two curved shapes. It adopts a floor plan that combines single-corridor guest rooms with double-corridor guest rooms to ensure that all guest rooms have lake views and form an internal enclosed courtyard space, making full use of flexible design strategies to introduce natural light and ventilation into the public areas on the first floor.
