The Printing Technology Museum of China Modern News Publishing Museum is on the third floor of the museum. The theme wall composed of eight different process printing plates—engraved printing book plates, woodblock watermark plates, lead printing plates, lithographic printing plates, collotype printing plates, offset printing four-color film plates, stencil printing, and gravure printing, shows the changes in printing technology since modern times. The museum also displays a lithographic machine introduced to China in the 1870s (Figure 8), which is 4 meters long and weighs 4 tons. This is one of the "treasures of the town" of the museum. After restoration, this lithographic machine more than a hundred years ago can still operate normally. There are also Chinese typewriters and mimeographs from the early 20th century, tools for engraving banknotes, etc., among which the "Nanyang Exhortation Fairground Map" printed in five colors by the Commercial Press in 1910 and Xu Tianchi's flower collotype printing plate are particularly rare.
