Located in the countryside, the Jia Yuan Hai Art Museum, another masterpiece by the world-famous architect Tadao Ando, who personally took charge, officially opened on November 20th! Walking through the lush forests and golden rice waves of Dayu Village in Malu Town, it's like a fisherman has stumbled into a 'Peach Blossom Spring.' After walking a few dozen steps further, the view suddenly opens up. Here, masterpieces are everywhere to be seen, artistic exchanges are incessant, trendy cultural and creative products attract fans, 'My Jia Study Room' offers a wide range of books, and a whiff of coffee aroma breaks the shackles of the rustic, allowing the elegance of high culture to settle firmly on the tips of the rice ears, perfectly intertwining nature with art. The design concept of the Jia Yuan Hai Art Museum, as endowed by Tadao Ando, is originality and nature. This art museum, funded by Malu Town and located in Dayu Village, Malu Town, Jiading District, Shanghai, known as 'China's Beautiful Leisure Countryside,' consists of two relatively independent rectangular buildings, one in the north and one in the south. The northern building is the public art area, and the southern building is the art exhibition space, connected in the middle by a stair plaza, creating a rich sense of hierarchy between the architectural entities. The main body of the Jia Yuan Hai Art Museum follows Tadao Ando's consistent style, that is, raw concrete without embellishment, presenting a natural, unadorned, and rigid texture. The glass curtain wall and the surrounding water system of the museum construct a mixed space of reality and illusion, with the sky, clouds, and crops reflecting overlapping and flowing images in the interplay of light and shadow. Several skylights are designed inside the venue, allowing sunlight to pour into the exhibition hall, and one can feel the changing light and shadows of dawn and dusk while inside. On the viewing platform constructed on the roof, one ascends step by step, with a different view at each step, overlooking the natural village, creating a broad and comfortable natural artistic conception. Strolling through the outdoor plaza, the golden rice fields sway in the wind, and the words 'Dayu' made of black rice are prominently embedded within. Outside the venue, the natural landscape of Dayu Village features crisscrossing water networks, lush forests, hundreds of farmhouses, and thousands of acres of vineyards. The organic integration of the interior and exterior scenery gives the Jia Yuan Hai Art Museum a unique rural cultural temperament, bringing a more diverse artistic experience.
