The history of the temple can be traced back to the 3rd century AD. It was built by the Hu monk Kang Senghui in the tenth year of Chiwu (247 AD) during the Three Kingdoms period during the reign of Sun Quan, the Emperor of the Eastern Wu. It has a history of more than 1,700 years. There were originally eight scenic spots in the temple, which were named the Eight Scenic Spots of Jing'an and were once very famous. Among them, the spring in front of the mountain gate was even known as the "Sixth Spring in the World". Many literati throughout the ages have written poems about the "Eight Scenic Spots of Jing'an". At the end of the Yuan Dynasty, a poet monk named Shouning compiled the "Collection of Eight Poems of Jing'an". Before entering the temple, you can see the tall pillars in front of the temple. The Guanyin Hall is located in the east wing on the right side of the first floor, the Jing'an Pagoda is in the northwest corner, and the Heavenly King Hall is located on the second floor, with the Drum Tower and Bell Tower on its left and right sides respectively. The main hall is the Mahavira Hall, where Amitabha Buddha is enshrined.
