Seville Cathedral

Seville Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the See (Catedral de Santa María de la Sede), is a stunning Gothic cathedral located in Seville, Spain. It is the largest Gothic cathedral in the world and is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Some notable features of Seville Cathedral include its magnificent Giralda tower, which was originally a minaret from the mosque that previously stood on the site. The interior of the cathedral houses the tomb of Christopher Columbus and a beautiful altarpiece known as the Retablo Mayor. The construction of the cathedral began in 1402 on the site of a former mosque. It took over a century to complete, with various architectural styles incorporated over time, including Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque elements.
