A Family-Run Jungle Resort

The resort was founded in 1995 by a man known as Dato Lim, who built it entirely from his own vision. Starting with just six rooms, Dato Lim believed that having a hotel next to the orangutan rehabilitation center would attract travelers. His wife took on the role of chef, and together they expanded the resort from six to sixty rooms. Now both in their 80s, the couple still runs this family-operated resort, welcoming travelers to this day. The rooms are simple, but the surroundings are truly five-star, with lush trees and a serene pond. Guests can enjoy the beauty of the jungle and should make sure to visit the spacious swimming pool, which has a depth of five to six feet.
