🍔 Same Fries, Local Flavor: Sampling Korea-Only McD’s at Seoul Station

We stopped by the McDonald’s at Seoul Station, but the place was absolutely packed—every seat was taken no matter when we passed by. In the end, we had no choice but to order takeaway and find a spot elsewhere to eat. What made the visit worthwhile, though, was getting to try some Korea-exclusive burgers that we don’t get back in Singapore. We went for the 1955 Burger, the Hanwoo Beef Burger, the Shrimp Burger, and the Bulgogi Burger. It was a fun little fast food adventure, and each one offered a different taste that felt uniquely local. The Bulgogi Burger, in particular, reminded me of the Samurai Burger we have back home—sweet, savory, and quite familiar. Interestingly, the fries tasted exactly like what we get in Singapore, which somehow added to the comfort of the meal. It was a reminder that no matter where you are in the world, some things—like McDonald’s fries—remain consistent. Overall, it’s the standard McDonald’s experience when it comes to service and setup, but the regional menu really made it worth the stop.
