Strolling through Anguk: A blend of tradition and modernity in Seoul

I took a leisurely stroll through the Anguk area in Seoul. This neighborhood, lined with traditional Korean houses known as Hanok, offers a unique charm where history and modernity harmoniously coexist. Walking through Bukchon Hanok Village and Samcheong-dong, admiring the stone-paved alleys and quaint buildings, felt like time was flowing at a slower pace. During the walk, I stopped by "CAFE LAYERED," a renovated Hanok café featuring European-style interiors. Their scones and cakes are popular, especially the Earl Grey scone, which was perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside—absolutely delicious. Another delightful spot was "DOTORI GARDEN," a café offering acorn-shaped madeleines and handmade Greek yogurt. The charming space felt like stepping into a storybook. Near Anguk Station, the "London Bagel Museum" is a bagel specialty shop renowned for its incredibly delicious bagels that might just redefine your concept of bagels. Though there's often a line, the taste is well worth the wait. Anguk is packed with fascinating spots where tradition meets modernity.
