Avoiding the crowds and quietly strolling through the markets is my favorite time when traveling. This time, I visited a traditional market selling dried goods in Seoul on a weekday afternoon. It was not crowded and very pleasant to walk around. There are almost no tourists here, and most of the people coming and going are local residents. The atmosphere is very simple and friendly. It does not have the noisy feeling of a tourist area, but instead has a more lifelike feel. As soon as you step into the market, the air is filled with the rich aroma of sesame oil! Many stores squeeze sesame oil on site, and the aroma is so tempting that you can't help but take a deep breath (laughs) In addition, many stalls sell simple snacks at very reasonable prices.
