Seoul Seongsu-dong | A Second Visit to Onion, Discovering Delicacy in the Ruins.

Seoul Seongsu-dong has a shop that I've visited twice - Onion, and I'm absolutely captivated by it! It's a refined coffee and bakery shop hidden in the ruins. The space design retains much of the original wall structure, creating a new artistic atmosphere in the dilapidated environment. This is a new direction in space design that I find both interesting and unique, truly rare! The shop is divided into several areas. The courtyard has a large bar, perfect for sitting alone; there are also private rooms, ideal for intimate gatherings with friends; and there's an open rooftop area on the second floor, where you can enjoy a coffee while feeling the breeze on a nice day. I must mention that many tables or nearby areas are equipped with charging ports, which is extremely rare in Korean coffee shops. In Seoul, portable chargers are scarce, and many shops don't have charging ports. If you forget to bring a portable charger, it can be quite troublesome 🤣. Onion's thoughtful design is truly considerate! Every time I go to Onion, I order a cup of aromatic coffee and pair it with delicious bread, enjoying this rare leisure time.
