[Seoul, South Korea] National Folk Museum on the grounds of Gyeongbokgung Palace

#0yentravelFebruary2025 The National Folk Museum, located on the grounds of Gyeongbokgung Palace, has special exhibitions as well as permanent exhibitions, making it a museum where you can learn about the lives and customs of Korean people. No matter where you look, the history of white porcelain and hanbok is interesting and beautiful. I am thrilled to be able to see such a wonderful collection of works for free. There are three permanent exhibition rooms where you can learn about "Koreans Today," "Koreans in a Year," and "Koreans for a Lifetime." The museum building is a temple-like structure that stands out even from afar. This was the special prize-winning design of the "National Museum Design Competition" held in 1966, and it is said to be based on famous temples from all over the country.
