Hidden away in the West Village, a cafe that feels like visiting an art gallery: LEEDORIM Coffee

When it comes to Korean coffee shops, only Korea can surpass itself! LEEDORIM Coffee in the West Village moved a small rock mountain directly into the store, which is really crazy! The name of the store, Leedorim, is a combination of King Sejong’s real name, Lee Seong-ryeong, and the Chinese character for “forest,” which means king or forest. Before you enter, you can see these Chinese characters on the wall, giving it a bit of historical flavor. The most eye-catching thing is of course the huge rock sculpture in the store, which instantly gives people the illusion of walking into an art gallery. The entire traffic flow design is also very unique. At first, you have to walk all the way up from the entrance and pass through a circular decoration before entering the cafe. Then you walk down the stairs to the first floor to order food (I had some questions at the time, but I have to say it’s really beautiful). In addition, the baked snacks here are in collaboration with the Korean vegan baking brand Vake, so vegetarians can also enjoy them with peace of mind, which is quite thoughtful. Overall, 이도림 is not only a great place to take photos and check in, its space design is very clever and the food is also very thoughtful.
