When in Jeju, don’t miss this Mountain

Hiking Mount Hallasan, South Korea’s highest mountain. We took the more scenic Yeongsil Trail (5.8km) which is at least a 2.5 hours hike up and another 2.5 hours down. While we went during summer, Hallasan is popular for its fall colours. So be sure to check it out if you’re heading to Jeju during autumn. At the base is a forest trail with a gradual ascent up until you reach Byeongpungbawi Rock. Here be careful of the rocks when you climb the wooden steps as there are only ropes for support on the side. It is relatively easier to walk as you reach the top with a flat boardwalk that leads you to Witse Oreum. Remember to bring a UV jacket and proper gear as it get cold even during summer. #gohiking
