There was a line and everyone was eating it with gusto, so I joined the line and bought some "Hyotanage". For 300 yen each, two round kamaboko wrapped in batter and deep-fried are skewered on a stick. It's like a Japanese American hot dog. The hot kamaboko goes perfectly with the sweet batter and ketchup. The store also offers a "hand-grilled sasa kamaboko experience" for a fee, so if you have time, it might be fun to try it out. It is located on the corner of the "Chris Road Shopping Street". It is located in an arcade shopping street close to Sendai Station, so it is a recommended gourmet spot for tourists.
