Dong Tan Bay, a Sattahip attraction

⛳️ Dong Tan Bay is located within the Royal Thai Fleet area at the Sattahip Naval Base. However, it is open to the public for visits and relaxation by exchanging an entry pass. Along the bay, there are rows of tall pine and palm trees densely planted, which have become the iconic feature of this beach and the origin of its name, 'Dong Tan Bay.' ⛳️ Dong Tan Bay has a curved shape and stretches approximately 400 meters. The atmosphere is peaceful, and the waves are not very strong due to the bay's depth and the islands in front of it that help shield the waves. This makes Dong Tan Bay a popular spot for sailing enthusiasts and a training ground for national sailing athletes. ⛵️ ⛳️ Dong Tan Bay is also historically significant as King Rama IX sailed a 13-foot sailboat by himself from Hua Hin to Sattahip on April 19, 1966, starting at 4:25 AM and arriving at 9:28 PM.
