I embarked on a journey to Sapporo, filled with longing for snow, eager for a romantic rendezvous with winter. As soon as I stepped off the plane, a biting wind carrying a crisp, clean scent enveloped me. The air was filled with the smell of snow, and my heart leaped with joy. Upon arriving at Sapporo International Ski Resort, the scene before me resembled a fairytale world. Rolling mountains were blanketed in thick snow, as if the earth had donned a pristine white fleece. Under a sapphire sky, sunlight glinted off the snow, reflecting a dazzling brilliance, like countless diamonds shimmering. At the ski rental shop, the staff enthusiastically helped me choose the right skis and boots. Geared up, I cautiously made my way to the slopes, a mix of nervousness and excitement bubbling within. As a novice skier, I opted to start with the beginner slope. Standing at the top, gazing down the gently sloping run, I took a deep breath, gripped my poles, gave a gentle push, and slowly glided downwards.
