The location is great, being close to the north exit of Sapporo Station and Hokkaido University, just a 10-minute walk away. Convenient transportation is very important for independent travelers. However, the main reason for choosing to stay at MYSTAYS is surprisingly because you can DIY your own seafood bowl for breakfast! This reason is quite funny, but when you see the scallops, salmon roe, and sashimi piled on top of the vinegar rice, it really is an explosion of joy! This is the hearty way to enjoy breakfast in Hokkaido. Hotel MYSTAYS is a chain hotel, positioned as an affordable business hotel. A good location is a must, and it can't be too expensive, so luxurious decorations are sacrificed. The overall style is simple and plain. Although it is a bit old, it is still maintained and cleaned quite well. The 16-square-meter twin room is really small, but considering it costs only 4000 New Taiwan Dollars for two people including breakfast, it is barely acceptable! Fortunately, it was the first day of the trip, so we hadn't started shopping yet, and there wasn't too much luggage. Otherwise, it might have been a bit cramped, but it was comfortable enough.
