It is made so that you can't reach the Great Buddha right away. You can only see the head of the Great Buddha from a small hill. Art. There are also Moai statues, so it feels like you're not in Hokkaido in a good way. Apparently it was designed by Tadao Ando. The grounds are very large. It's a pleasant walk on a sunny day.
