Make a wish at Hokkaido-Jingu

Been to Japan several times but this was my first time in Sapporo Hokkaido prefecture. Visited the Hokkaido-Jingu shrine and it is enthralling to learn about its history and congregational culture of the area. One of my favourite thing is the tying of of the omikuji and the Japanese architecture of the shrine. It was beautifully crafted and you may also want to get some seasonal souvenirs to bring back home for yourself of for your loved ones. Getting to the place was easy by JR train. If going from Sapporo station it’ll only take around 15-25mins. Make sure to stop by at the stalls along the way for some Japanese street food snacks like takoyaki, beef bbq tried it loved it, and okonomiyaki. I believe the best time to come is during the sakura season and the golden week as it will be less crowded and you’ll enjoy numerous variety of cherry blossom they are beautiful.
