Hokkaido was developed by the Hokkaido Development Commission during the Meiji period, and many foreigners came to work there. The most famous foreign employee was Clark. There is a #ClarkStatue at Hitsujigaoka in Sapporo. This is a place that really gives you a taste of Hokkaido. There is also a lavender garden, which is in full bloom from July to August. Sheep are also kept here. Just beyond the sheep is the #SapporoDome. Admission is 600 yen. SapporoDome was the home stadium of the #HokkaidoNipponHamFighters until last year. It currently serves as the home stadium of the #ConsadoleSapporo soccer team.
