A walk through Paradise

The tiny island of Madeira truly is a walkers paradise with some of the most stunning hiking routes to be found anywhere on the planet. Route 10 from Ribeiro Frio to Portela following one of the islands famous lavandas has to be among the best. Along this 12km route you will pass through forest full of native trees and plants listening to bird song along your way, pass both under and over stunning waterfalls and gain dramatic views across to the islands highest peaks and the Atlantic Ocean down below.
