A Sky-High Experience in Sanya

A truly unforgettable stay that goes beyond just being surrounded by tropical rainforests—the exceptional hospitality of the hotel left a lasting impression. Both the hardware and software of the hotel deserve high praise, compelling me, even as a novice, to share my experience. Here are some personal tips based on my stay: 1) The hotel covers a vast area, essentially functioning as a park. After checking in at the front desk, it’s recommended to take the hotel shuttle to your room. Self-driving is not advised due to steep mountain roads with numerous hairpin turns, which can easily lead to confusion or getting lost. 2) The shuttle has a sealed compartment for luggage, but since the rooms are nestled among trees and hills, it’s better to avoid bringing large suitcases. Although the staff is very helpful and polite in assisting with luggage during check-in and check-out, there are still many stairs. For shorter stays, consider using a travel bag or backpack for convenience. 3) We originally booked a cluster villa, but the front desk staff kindly informed us that it was quite far and upgraded us to a Peacock Villa. The room design is circular, with a round layout and even a round bed. Initially, we were concerned about adapting to it, but the experience turned out to be unique and fun, making it ideal for families or couples. 4) Upon check-in, you’ll receive a stamp passport. Collecting six or more stamps allows you to redeem a ¥100 voucher for hotel expenses. A two-day, one-night stay is a bit rushed, allowing visits to three areas: the mountaintop park, Orchid Valley, and the suspension bridge. However, the Cloud Top area is more spread out. A three-day, two-night stay would provide more flexibility, giving you time to collect stamps and discuss options with staff. The ¥100 voucher can be directly redeemed at the restaurant, which is very convenient. 5) Breakfast is incredibly diverse, with three types of Hainan-style rice dishes and freshly made wontons. There’s also a wide selection of fruits, drinks, and yogurts. The quality of the watermelon and mangoes is particularly noteworthy—extremely fresh, sweet, and delicious. In summary, this is a fulfilling experience of both scenery and service. The hotel offers stunning views at every turn, and the manager’s warm hospitality, including checking on our stay and offering late check-out, made us feel truly welcomed. The staff across the park, from the front desk to the shuttle drivers, restaurant servers, resident musicians, bellboys, and even the petting zoo attendants, were all professional, friendly, and genuine. Their dedication and warmth added personal touches to our journey, making the stay truly unforgettable.
