Santorini Honeymoon

Sharing our 6-night, 8-day honeymoon itinerary from Santorini 🇬🇷 to Paris 🇫🇷, focusing on the Santorini leg of the trip! Our motto for Santorini was to relax, not compromise on the hotel in Oia, and choose a place with beautiful sunsets and views! 🐈 We chose France as the other country because it has direct flights from Santorini and we hadn’t been there before. Germany and Italy were also options, so if you want to visit two countries for variety, give them a look! 🎵 📅 Travel Itinerary Day 1: 15:55 Arrive in Santorini We arrived and stayed in Fira, where we explored the area 🌻. The steep paths were tough, but we managed to get to the hotel by bus without using a shuttle service! 🏨 Fira Cliff Side Suites A 4-star hotel. Great location and friendly staff, making for a comfortable stay! Day 2: 10:00–16:30 Volcanic Island Cruise 🌋 We decided last minute that just relaxing would be a waste, so we booked this cruise from Japan. We boarded a wooden ship, climbed the volcanic island, dove off the boat, struggled to reach the hot springs, and enjoyed lunch on the island. It was an amazing experience. 18:30 Took a taxi to Oia → Dinner at Roka, which we reserved from Japan. Delicious! 🏨 Oia Σπίτια Τέχνης Ασπάκι A 5-star hotel. Absolutely incredible! It cost nearly 200,000 yen per night, but it was worth every penny. ✨ Day 3: Strolled around Oia 13:00 Lunch at Karma Greek Restaurant This was the best meal of the trip! The moussaka and yemista were absolutely delicious, and the interior was charming. We made a reservation from Japan. 🏨 Oia Σπίτια Τέχνης Ασπάκι Day 4: Took the hotel’s shuttle taxi to the airport 13:35 Departed from Santorini 📌 Useful Tips - If staying for a few days, it’s recommended to spend the first night in Fira and the next in Oia for efficient sightseeing. - There’s a supermarket in Oia’s square where you can buy souvenirs. ✨ - At Narita, we were told to pick up our luggage in Athens, but it never showed up. It turned out to be through-checked baggage, so confirm this in Athens to avoid confusion. - The stairs leading to the Old Port are covered in donkey droppings 💩. Sandals are fine, but be careful as it can be slippery! - Greek people are very friendly, and they appreciate it when you greet or thank them in Greek. It’s worth looking up some phrases before your trip! ☺️
