Whaling Capital - Sandefjord

Sandefjord, Norway, established in the 14th century, is a charming small town known as the Whaling Capital. As the name suggests, it has a strong connection to whaling. Whaling and shipping are integral parts of the local economy, though whaling is regulated by quotas. We stopped here for a night on our way to the pulpit rock. After dinner, we took a stroll to the shores of Sandefjord Fjord, where we relaxed on lounge chairs, soaking in the tranquility and serenity of this quaint town.
