[Uzbekistan] The spectacular blue scenery of Samarkand

Samarkand flourished as a stopover on the Silk Road. 🇺🇿 In 2001, it was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as "Samarkand, Crossroads of Cultures." One must-see in Samarkand is the Shah-i-Zinda Mausoleums. Located on the southern slope of the Afrasiab Hills, these 14th-15th century mausoleums are part of the World Heritage Site. Samarkand is known as the "Blue City," but even compared to other mosques and other attractions, the intensity of the blue here is particularly stunning. The best time to visit is in the morning! Especially in the summer, around 6 a.m. is prime time, with almost no people around! There are few people, so you can have the spectacular view all to yourself! As for clothing, both men and women are required to cover their knees and shoulders, but there are places at the entrance where you can borrow a cloth, so you don't have to worry. #TravelAdvice

The most worthwhile place in Samarkand is here, but there is one thing that is really not worth it.
