A Magical Day in Salzburg 🇦🇹

From the moment our tour began, Salzburg captured my heart! ❤️ Nestled between the Alps and full of baroque charm, this city truly felt like stepping into a fairytale. Here's a breakdown of our unforgettable day: 🕘 Morning – Mirabell Gardens & Old Town Stroll We started at the breathtaking Mirabell Gardens 🌸, where scenes from The Sound of Music came to life! The perfectly manicured gardens with views of the Hohensalzburg Fortress were the perfect backdrop for photos 📸. We then wandered through the charming streets of the Altstadt (Old Town), admiring the Mozartplatz, Getreidegasse, and the beautiful wrought iron signs 🛍️. 🎻 Midday – Mozart & Markets A visit to Mozart’s Birthplace 🎼 was a highlight – fascinating and well-curated! The local markets nearby were buzzing with life. We grabbed a pretzel 🥨 and enjoyed some local cheese while soaking up the vibrant atmosphere. 🏰 Afternoon – Hohensalzburg Fortress Taking the funicular 🚠 up to Hohensalzburg Fortress was a must. The views over the city and surrounding mountains were absolutely breathtaking 🏔️. The history within the fortress was rich and well-presented, and the experience felt immersive without being overwhelming. 🍽️ Evening – Traditional Austrian Dinner We wrapped up the tour with a delicious dinner at a cozy tavern 🍷. I tried the Wiener Schnitzel and my partner had the Kasnocken – both were divine! The local hospitality made us feel right at home. 🎶 Bonus – Sound of Music Vibes As fans of The Sound of Music, seeing filming locations throughout the day was such a treat. From the gardens to the hills, it all felt surreal 🎶🌄.
