Eat in Sai Wan | From Scratch | Unforgettable Mushroom Pie

I visited From Scratch after seeing the news that it was about to close online. I went there twice in a short period of time. It was my first time going there alone. I had a cup of White Coffee ($35), which was just so-so. The Funghi Pie ($68) is an unforgettable waffle. The crust is crispy and the light sauce makes the mushroom flavor more prominent. The side dish of potato salad is also very delicious. Funghi Pie is baked upon order and the filling is super hot, so be careful not to burn your mouth. The second time I went to Waffles with my bestie, she ordered White Coffee ($35) and I ordered Mocha ($38). From what I remember, the White Coffee tasted better. Beef Ragu ($118) is a popular dish in the store. The thick macaroni is chewy and the tomato meat sauce tastes good. Maybe because of the melted cheese, it would be a bit greasy if you eat too much, so it is better to share it with two people. The Apple Strudle ($68) comes with a scoop of Dreyer’s vanilla ice cream; the apple filling is a little too sweet.
