Pang Sida National Park

Pang Sida National Park is located in Mueang District, Sa Kaeo Province. It is an interesting park, especially for studying wildlife, because there are more than 300 species of rare wildlife and birds, such as hornbills and peacocks. One place where many wildlife are found is Huai Khlong Phlu, which is near an abandoned farm. It is currently a grassland where many types of wildlife often come to drink water. Animals found in this area include wild elephants, gaurs, barking deer, deer, wild boars, and colorful butterflies that are abundant. In the rainy season, butterfly watching activities are especially popular from June to July, when tourists can capture impressive images of more than 350 species of beautiful and colorful butterflies. The Pang Sida Butterfly Watching Festival is held every year from early June to July. There are many activities, such as a butterfly puppet contest and a butterfly puppet parade, an artificial salt lick making activity for butterflies, learning together with butterfly watching activities and getting advice on butterfly photography from butterfly watchers and photographers, visiting a butterfly photography exhibition, and taking a close and accurate look at butterflies at various points in the park, along with advice on the more than 350 species of butterflies. Tourists who visit Pang Sida Forest can study nature and see many species of butterflies along the butterfly watching trail.
